    THE FOUGA MAGISTER 1/4 SCALE, QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE...

    MODEL DESCRIPTION:

    AVIATION DESIGN KIT DESIGNED BY ÉRIC RANTET

    The Fouga Magister has been the French jet trainer for the Air Force and the Navy since 1957. It was built by a small french company Castel Mauboussin.
    More than 900 Fouga have been built and a lot of them are sold worldwide. (Germany, Austria, Brasil, Finland, Ireland, Israel...).
    Until 1981, the Fouga was used by the "Patrouille de France", the french aerobatic team display. All the french Fouga are now retired and a lot of them are now flying by private pilot all over the world.
    The Fouga Magister from AVIATION DESIGN is designed for a single turbine.
    It is a scale kit, built from the original "Castel Mauboussin factory" plans from 1955. All the panel lines and rivets (about 15 000) are engraved in the fuselage and wings.
    It is fully molded in composite, carbon / epoxy and pre-assembled : model is painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued.
    The wings are molded with carbon reinforcement. The aluminium wing spar, the alignment pins are factory installed.
    The 2 stabs (called butterfly stabs) are also molded with carbon reinforcement.
    The 2 canopy hatches are molded in epoxy and the canopy fitting is easy. No important gluing is required.
    Up to 80% of the work is done in our factory.
    THE FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS ARE EXCELLENT :
    It is a very easy to fly model, with an excellent stability.
    Take off is very simple : just throttle up and the Fouga will take off automatically.
    All aerobatics manoevres can be done, the loops are enormous, roll can be done fast or slow. Inverted flight is possible.
    For landing, the air brakes are powerfull and they have no pitch effect, so landing precision is excellent. The Fouga has also very good low speed capability.
    If the turbine stops, no problem : the original Fouga was designed by a glider engineer team. So with enough speed or altitude, you can do a complete circuit and a perfect landing without difficulties.

    Fuel tanks are designed large enough (4 liters) to have a minimum of 10 minutes of flight.

    The Fouga Magister will operate from prepared grass fields or tarmac surfaces.
    Minimum size engine is a single 10 kg (22 lbs) thrust turbine. It will take off from grass in about 200 meters (650 ft) and 150 meters (490 ft) from tarmac.
    Maximum size engine is a single 16 kg (40 lbs) thurst turbine. It will take off in about 50 meters (160 ft) from tarmac and 70 meters (230 ft) from grass.

    The model has plug in wings and stabs. The fuselage can be disassembled in 2 parts for transportation and access to bifurcated pipe.
    The Fouga Magister is designed for an easy assembly and an easy utilisation and maintenance.
    The big hatches give a good access to the radio, batteries, engine equipment, fuel tank, pump and to the bifurcated tailpipe.

    Our landing gear have been designed for stronger field operation.

    The Su 27 Flanker single seat supersonic interceptor is a typical fourth generation Soviet fighter that has come to be generally recognized as one of the world's best fighters of the 90's.
    The remarkable airshow routines flown by pilots of Su-27 have demonstrated manouevres such as the tailslide and the cobra which simply cannot be emulated by Western fighters. The Sukhoi SU-27 is a beautiful aircraft both on the ground and in the air with amazing maneuverability characteristics and a firepower to reckon with in air-to-air combat.
    The SU-27 from AVIATION DESIGN is a super scale kit with all the panel lines, fuselage hatches, gun, antennas engraved. It also includes many scale details (cockpit, landing gear, pitot probes, air brake...).
    THE SU-27 IS FULLY MOLDED IN COMPOSITE MATERIALS :
    Of course, it is fully molded in composite materials (fiberglass, carbon and epoxy) to reduce the assembly time, and improve the overall quality.
    This kit is largely pre-build :
    - the 2 wings, 2 fins, 2 ventral fins, 2 stabs and 2 canards come to you finished, fully molded with panel lines engraved, aluminum tube and spar already glued in place, the wing and fin alignment pins are factory installed;
    - the 2 fuselage main plywood frames will be already glued in the fuselage.
    So up to 85% of the work will be done in our factory.
    2 Versions are now available :
    - the Su-27, single seat fighter;
    - and the Su-35 or Su-37, single seat, with canards foreplanes.

    The Mirage 2000 is a famous French delta fighter built by Dassault Aviation. It is used in a lot of countries and it is one of the most agile fighters. The Mirage 2000 has a single jet engine.
    You love very big models, you love fighter, you love agile and aerobatic jets, you love power : The 1/5 Mirage 2000 is for you.
    The Mirage 2000 model is really incredible in flight. It is a very big models, very aerobatic with good roll rate and incredible high angle of attack possibility. Flight is very reallistic and impressive with big turbine sound and afterburner lights.
    THE MIRAGE 2000 KIT IS FULLY CAD DESIGNED :
    he Mirage 2000 from AVIATION DESIGN is fully CAD designed. Most of the plug parts were CNC machined.. It is a scale model, with all the panel lines and rivets engraved in the fuselage. Plug was covered with aluminium sheet to have scale apparence.
    It contains many scale details, (gears, hinges, cockpit...).
    The Mirage 2000 is designed for the new high thrust jet engines and incorporates special inlets and ducting.
    Of course the Mirage 2000 is fully molded in composite, and pre assembled : model is painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued, all control surfaces are hinged. No important gluing are required.
    The Mirage 2000 has a removable nose cone and a large canopy for an easy access to radio.
    The large fuselage hatch gives also an excelent access to the turbine, fuel sytem and tailpipe.
    Our landing gear have been designed for stronger field operation.
    This model has plug in wings and fin.

    MODEL DESCRIPTION:

    AVIATION DESIGN KIT DESIGNED BY ÉRIC RANTET

    The Rafale was completely designed from Catia CAD software and the plugs were milled using state-of-the-art CNC 5 axis machines. All panel lines, hatches and all rivets were engraved in the model. It contains many scale details.
    The model can be made in 3 different versions: Rafale C single seater, Rafale B twin seater or Rafale M (navy version) single seater with its specific carrier landing gear.
    The turbines and all other components including landing gear and servos were also integrated at the CAD design stage for a perfect match.
    THE PLANE WAS DESIGNED TO BE POWERED BY TWO TYPES OF ENGINES :
    either a single 30 to 33 kg thrust turbine (B300F, B330F, P300) or twin 16 to 18 kg thrust turbine (P160, P180).
    It incorporates special inlets and ductings for both versions.
    THE RAFALE IS FULLY MOLDED IN COMPOSITE AND IS PRE ASSEMBLED :
    • the model is grey painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued in the airframe, all control surface are hinged. No important gluing are required. All the composite components of the kit are produced in house by aero certified technicians who also work on the most advanced European UAVs and aerospace vehicles;
    • the fuselage is produced from glass & carbon fiber and reinforced with an internal plywood structure and very strong gear support to accept bad landing without trouble;
    • the wings, canards and tail fin are produced from Airex sandwich that is vacuum moulded and reinforced with carbon fiber layups in lots of areas. They include an internal plywood structure;
    • the wing tube is made from a large aero grade AU4G tube for the main spare and carbon tube for the front spare designed to withstand the worse abuse;
    • rudder and canards are fitted with carbon rod and tubes. These tubes are also used in house for the UAVs.

    The landing gear was entirely designed on CAD and is CNC machined from our eastern European supplier. It is operated by large pneumatic actuators and unique custom design retract mechanism all made from aero grade aluminium. Front oleo legs is CNC machined from aluminium, main oleo legs are made from steel tube covered by scale plastic covers. All functional cisors are made in aluminium and are oversized for grass operation.
    A special front landing gear was CAD design for the Navy version to exactly replicate the proper cinematics of the real airplane. It is fully CNC machined from solid block and highly detailed. The front fuselage structure is also specific for the Navy front gear.
    The tires are custom produced to be exactly scale.

    The 2 fuel tanks are made in kevlar with a 8.6 liters of total capacity which gives a comfortable endurance of 8 to 12 minutes in all motoring configurations.

    The plane comes at 28 kgs dry and 35 kgs takeoff weight for the single engine version. The model has plug in wings and tails and removable nose cone for easier transportation.
    The Rafale has also a large top fuselage hatch to give an excellent access to the turbine, fuel system and taipipe.

    The kit comes with a full set of building instructions in English language and complete tuning guidance on a CD Rom.

    The flying characteristics of this model are outstanding. Scale aerobatics are easily achieved with the recommended powerplant options as well as very low speed capability.     THE RAFALE 1/5 SCALE, QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE...


    MODEL DESCRIPTION:

    AVIATION DESIGN KIT DESIGNED BY ÉRIC RANTET

    The Rafale was completely designed from Catia CAD software and the plugs were milled using state-of-the-art CNC 5 axis machines. All panel lines, hatches and all rivets were engraved in the model. It contains many scale details.
    The model can be made in 3 different versions: Rafale C single seater, Rafale B twin seater or Rafale M (navy version) single seater with its specific carrier landing gear.
    The turbines and all other components including landing gear and servos were also integrated at the CAD design stage for a perfect match.
    THE PLANE WAS DESIGNED TO BE POWERED BY TWO TYPES OF ENGINES :
    either a single 30 to 33 kg thrust turbine (B300F, B330F, P300) or twin 16 to 18 kg thrust turbine (P160, P180).
    It incorporates special inlets and ductings for both versions.
    THE RAFALE IS FULLY MOLDED IN COMPOSITE AND IS PRE ASSEMBLED :
    • the model is grey painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued in the airframe, all control surface are hinged. No important gluing are required. All the composite components of the kit are produced in house by aero certified technicians who also work on the most advanced European UAVs and aerospace vehicles;
    • the fuselage is produced from glass & carbon fiber and reinforced with an internal plywood structure and very strong gear support to accept bad landing without trouble;
    • the wings, canards and tail fin are produced from Airex sandwich that is vacuum moulded and reinforced with carbon fiber layups in lots of areas. They include an internal plywood structure;
    • the wing tube is made from a large aero grade AU4G tube for the main spare and carbon tube for the front spare designed to withstand the worse abuse;
    • rudder and canards are fitted with carbon rod and tubes. These tubes are also used in house for the UAVs.

    The landing gear was entirely designed on CAD and is CNC machined from our eastern European supplier. It is operated by large pneumatic actuators and unique custom design retract mechanism all made from aero grade aluminium. Front oleo legs is CNC machined from aluminium, main oleo legs are made from steel tube covered by scale plastic covers. All functional cisors are made in aluminium and are oversized for grass operation.
    A special front landing gear was CAD design for the Navy version to exactly replicate the proper cinematics of the real airplane. It is fully CNC machined from solid block and highly detailed. The front fuselage structure is also specific for the Navy front gear.
    The tires are custom produced to be exactly scale.

    The 2 fuel tanks are made in kevlar with a 8.6 liters of total capacity which gives a comfortable endurance of 8 to 12 minutes in all motoring configurations.

    The plane comes at 28 kgs dry and 35 kgs takeoff weight for the single engine version. The model has plug in wings and tails and removable nose cone for easier transportation.
    The Rafale has also a large top fuselage hatch to give an excellent access to the turbine, fuel system and taipipe.

    Scorpion has a unique shape, with his large canopy, 2 side air intakes, twin fins, undiedral stabs and top fuselage airbrake.
    Scorpion is designed with special airfoil , giving very good low speed performance and also high speed with full power. It has very gentle stall characteristics. Perfect for beginner or expert pilot.
    Of course Scorpion is fully molded in composite, ARF : model is painted in mold, all bulkeads are glued, all control surfaces are hinged. No gluing are required.
    Scorpion has a large canopy for an easy access to radio and fuel tank.
    The large fuselage hatch gives also an excelent access to the turbine, fuel sytem and tailpipe.
    So radio and engine checking are very easy and are perfect for beginner, for safety and for maintenance.
    Fuselage hatch is also fitted with an optional airbrake, perfect for short airfield and looks very nice during landing and taxing.
    Our landing gear have been designed for stronger field operation, with chock absorber struts.
    The fuselage is in 2 parts, with plug in wings and fin for an easier transporting (very important).
    Gears are mounted in the fuselage.
